Germany makes offer on defence to make India 'less dependent on Russia'; govt responds

German Chancellor Friedrich Merz, during India visit, said, "Germany wants to deepen defence cooperation with India...It'll also lead India to become less dependent on Russia." Foreign Secretary Vikram Misri said, "Our approach on defence sourcing is driven entirely by national interest. There are a lot of factors involved...It's certainly not ideological, it's entirely driven by our interest."
