Germany reach FIFA World Cup knockout stage for first time since 2014

Germany defeated Côte d'Ivoire 2-1 in their FIFA World Cup 2026 Group E match at Toronto Stadium. With the win, Germany qualified for FIFA World Cup knockouts for the first time since 2014. Franck Kessié put Côte d'Ivoire ahead in the 30th minute before Germany substitute Deniz Undav equalised in the 68th minute and scored the winner in the 94th.
