Germany's Lufthansa fined $4 million in US for barring 128 Jews

The US Transportation Department has fined Germany's Lufthansa $4 million for discriminating against Jewish passengers. The airline denied boarding to 128 Jews in 2022 based on the alleged misconduct of a few, despite many of the passengers not travelling together, the department said. This is the largest penalty by the authority against an airline for civil rights violations.
