Germany's Manuel Neuer, who came out of retirement for World Cup, to start vs Curacao

Forty-year-old German goalkeeper Manuel Neuer, who came out of retirement earlier this year for the FIFA World Cup 2026, will be in the starting XI against Curacao, coach Julian Nagelsmann confirmed. Neuer will be playing for Germany for the first time after the Euro 2024 quarterfinal loss against Spain. The match will also mark Neuer's fifth FIFA World Cup appearance.
