Germany's Manuel Neuer retires from international football

Germany goalkeeper Manuel Neuer on Wednesday announced his retirement from international football. The 38-year-old, who won the World Cup in 2014, made 124 appearances for Germany, in which he led his side 61 times. In a statement, he said though he's interested in participating in the 2026 World Cup, he was "convinced...now is the right time to take this step".
