Germany shuts Russian consulate over drone attack; Moscow closes Goethe-Institut

Germany announced the closure of Russia's consulate in Bonn, after blaming Moscow for last month's attempted drone attack at Leipzig/Halle airport. In response, Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov said Germany's Goethe-Institut cultural centres would be closed in Russia. Lavrov said the centres had remained open "despite all the Ukrainian complications in our relations with the West".
