Germany to post liaison officer at India’s IFC-IOR

Germany is set to station a liaison officer at the Gurugram-based Information Fusion Centre-Indian Ocean Region, with documentation at an advanced stage. The officer is expected to join before June. The move, coinciding with Chancellor Friedrich Merz's India visit, reflects growing India-Germany maritime security cooperation and deeper defence ties in the Indo-Pacific.
