Ghaziabad civic body prepares ₹1,900-cr plan to clean river Hindon

Ghaziabad Municipal Corporation has prepared a ₹1,904-crore plan to clean river Hindon by tapping nine drains that empty into the river. The project also includes boosting the capacity of the existing sewage treatment plants (STPs). The river falls in category E which means it has the lowest quality of water, according to Uttar Pradesh Pollution Control Board (UPPCB).
