GHMC asks people in low-lying areas to evacuate amid orange alert

Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) Mayor Bonthu Rammohan on Tuesday asked the residents in low-lying areas to shift to relief camps after the IMD issued an orange alert till Wednesday. He added that the monsoon emergency and disaster response force teams were on high alert. On Monday, GHMC said over 37,000 families were affected in Hyderabad due to heavy rains.
