GHMC to add 650 more autos for door-to-door garbage collection

The GHMC on Thursday said that it will add 650 more autos for garbage collection. Under the Swachh Hyderabad initiative, there are currently 2,500 Swachh Auto Tippers (SAT) for door-to-door collection of garbage in the early hours of the day, on alternative days. GHMC sanitary section collects over 5,500-6,000 metric tonnes of solid waste from Hyderabad every day, GHMC said.
