Ghost rumour sparks fear & protest at Chitkara University, students say 'girl's ghost in hostel'

A late-night uproar broke out at Chitkara University in Patiala district after a video claiming to show a "ghost" on campus circulated widely on social media. Students' protest turned violent after they clashed with police, damaged campus property and vandalised police vehicle. Some students claimed that the spirit of a female student who died by suicide is haunting hostel students.
