GI-tagged Rewa Sundarja mangoes exported to UAE for 1st time

Geographical Indication (GI)-tagged Rewa Sundarja mangoes from Madhya Pradesh were exported to the UAE for the first time on Friday. A consignment of one metric tonne of the GI-tagged mangoes, which are known for their sweetness, aroma, fibreless pulp and distinctive flavour, was sourced from farmer Sonu Gupta from Rewa district. The export is expected to boost farmer incomes.
