Gianni Infantino gets backing from top African football chiefs

Five top African football leaders, including Confederation of African Football (CAF) Vice President Fouzi Lekjaa, have publicly offered their support to Gianni Infantino amid uncertainty over his future as FIFA President. They also welcomed his decision to withdraw the controversial plan to sell World Cup stake. Notably, CAF executive committee will meet on Thursday to discuss the abandoned plan.
