Giant bluefin tuna weighing 211 kg sells for ₹1.08 crore in Tokyo

A giant bluefin tuna was sold for 16.9 million yen (over ₹1.08 crore) in the ceremonial first sale at Tokyo's fish market on Wednesday. The 211-kilogram fish was caught off Oma in northern Japan. The tuna was bought jointly by Michelin-starred sushi restaurant chain operator Onodera Group and wholesaler Yamayuki.
