Giant bumphead parrotfish found mating in group of hundreds
A group of about 1200 giant bumphead parrotfish were observed mating off the Pacific island of Micronesia. It's the first time a fish has been observed in 'mass spawning' events involving over 100 individuals, said Australia-based scientist George Roff. The unique event could become an important source of revenue for tourism generating up to $3 million per year, Roff added.
