NASA's James Webb Space Telescope has discovered a giant planet outside our solar system. The exoplanet named 'Beta Pictoris d' is about 23 million years old and is located 63 light-years from Earth. The finding is important as it was discovered not by identifying a bright point of light, but by detecting the unique chemical fingerprint of its atmosphere.
