Giant shrimp with bulging eyes lived 500 million years ago: Study

A giant shrimp with bulging eyes existed around 500 million years ago and could grow up to three feet long. This sea creature, called Anomalocaris canadensis or the 'weird shrimp from Canada', was among the largest creatures of the Cambrian era. It had a segmented body with a tail fin, powerful claws, and a circular mouth lined with tooth-like serrations.
