Gibraltar releases Iranian tanker despite US request to seize it

The British overseas territory of Gibraltar on Thursday released the Iranian oil tanker 'Grace 1' and allowed it to sail. This came despite the US' request to take control of the oil tanker that was seized in the Strait of Gibraltar last month. Gibraltar authorities earlier released all 24 Indian crew members on board the tanker.
