Gig workers flag dip in orders, seek ₹10,000/worker aid over LPG concerns
The Gig and Platform Service Workers Union (GIPSWU) has written to the Centre highlighting a 50-60% decline in food orders amid the LPG supply concerns. Saying their "members are starving", the union demanded immediate ₹10,000 relief per worker, minimum daily incentives and a three-month moratorium on ID deactivations. It also sought full gig worker coverage under Code on Social Security.
