Gig workers urge Delhi govt to halt work during peak heat hours of 12 pm to 3 pm

The Gig and Platform Service Workers Union has written to the Delhi government urging it to halt work between 12 pm and 3 pm when heat is at its peak. The union said working during these hours increases risk of heat exhaustion, dehydration and heatstroke. The union also raised demand for shaded rest areas, drinking water and emergency medical facilities.
