Gilead's COVID-19 drug remdesivir to cost $2,340 for 5-day treatment

American biopharmaceutical company Gilead has said that it will charge $390 (₹29,450) per vial or about $2,340 (over ₹1.76 lakh) for a typical five-day course of treatment of its coronavirus-fighting drug remdesivir. The company on Monday said it would offer this price to the US government and other developed countries. The $390 per vial price is for government entities.
