Girish Mathrubootham steps down as Freshworks CEO, shares crash 20%

Freshworks on Wednesday said founder Girish Mathrubootham will step down as the company's CEO and be the firm's Executive Chairman. Dennis Woodside will take over as CEO of the California-based CRM software maker. The company's shares crashed over 20% following the announcement. Mathrubootham founded the company in 2010 in Chennai and guided it to go public on Nasdaq in 2021.
