Girl named 'Khaleesi' denied passport over 'Game of Thrones' trademark in UK
The passport application of a 6-year-old girl named 'Khaleesi' was rejected in the UK because she was named after a 'Game of Thrones' character. Officials said they can't issue a passport unless Warner Brothers permits because it owns the name's trademark. The passport office later apologised to the girl's mother, saying a "mistake" was made as staff gave incorrect guidance.
