Girlfriend didn't come & I won: Popyrin on Canadian Open triumph

Speaking after winning 2024 Canadian Open, Alexei Popyrin said this is one of the few weeks when his girlfriend isn't travelling with him and he won the tournament. Alexei stated his girlfriend and his family "sacrificed their whole lives for me". He defeated Andrey Rublev in the final with a scoreline of 6-2, 6-4.
