Gitam student suicide: NHRC notice to Telangana govt, DGP

The NHRC has issued notice to the Telangana government and the DGP over the death of 18-year-old Renu Sree on Friday, 5 January, at Gitam University, in Sangareddy, Telangana. The first-year engineering student engaged in a phone conversation before tragically jumping off from the fifth floor of the college building. The NHRC took suo motu cognisance of a media report.
