GitHub counts 27 million Indian developers, aims 1 billion by 2030

India has emerged as GitHub’s fastest-growing developer hub with 27 million users on the platform, up from 21.9 million just six months ago. It has surpassed the US to become the biggest open-source contributor base, aiming to mark 1 billion developers by 2030. “India’s rise as a global technology leader is undeniable...driven by...developer community," GitHub COO had earlier said.
