Give drivers more time to learn Marathi: Shinde Sena's MLAs amid crackdown

Several Eknath Shinde-led Shiv Sena MLAs have urged Maharashtra's Transport Department to give autorickshaw and taxi drivers more time to learn Marathi amid its ongoing drive against those lacking adequate language skills. They said drivers should not be threatened or intimidated. The remarks come after the state government issued notices to 1,268 drivers over their lack of Marathi knowledge.
