Glenmark Pharma gets US FDA nod for generic hypertension drug

Mumbai-based pharmaceuticals firm Glenmark said it has received final approval from the US Food & Drug Administration (FDA) for its generic drug to treat high blood pressure and to control angina. The approval is for Nicardipine Hydrochloride Capsules, 20 mg and 30 mg. These are the generic version of Cardene Capsules, 20 mg and 30 mg, of Chiesi USA.
