Global investors sold ₹4,93,294 cr of Asian stocks since Gulf war began, highest since COVID-19
Foreign investors have sold around $52 billion (nearly ₹4,93,294 crore) of emerging Asian stocks since war began in Middle East, the highest monthly equity outflow since COVID-19's March 2020 losses, as per Bloomberg data. While oil-dependent economies like India, Taiwan and South Korea led sell-off, China’s market was excluded. The sell-off is twice that of Ukraine war’s June 2022 loss.
