Go Digit receives ₹155-crore GST demand & ₹15-crore penalty

Go Digit General Insurance has received a GST demand of ₹154.80 crore and a penalty of ₹15.48 crore for short payment of GST from FY18-FY22. Earlier, the Bombay High Court had set aside the GST demand and penalty, directing the adjudicating authority to decide again. Following the fresh adjudication, the tax authority has confirmed the GST demand and the penalty.
