Go First, Jet Airways lose 'G8' and '9W' airline codes

Go First has lost its airline code 'G8' and Jet Airways has lost its '9W' code. The codes assigned by the International Air Transport Association (IATA) were lost by the cash-strapped airlines because they ceased to operate commercial flights, an IATA official said. Go First and Jet Airways ceased operations due to financial difficulties in 2023 and 2019, respectively.
