Goa declares paid holiday tomorrow for Karnataka election

The BJP government in Goa declared a paid holiday on May 10 for the Assembly election to be held in neighbouring Karnataka. The holiday was extended to government servants and also those working in private establishments including industrial workers, the government notification said. However, Goa State Industries Association president Damodar Kochkar called the decision "absurd and stupid".
