Goa Police officer threatens hotel owner over '₹170 naan'; matter reaches Assembly

Goa Police initiated a departmental inquiry after Sub-Inspector Viraj Sawant allegedly abused and threatened a restaurant owner in Porvorim over ₹170 cheese garlic naan. The matter also reached the Assembly as LoP Yuri Alemao demanded Sawant's suspension. The CCTV footage of PSI Sawant and another man confronting the restaurant staff went viral, bringing the incident to light.
