Goa tourism body demands rollback of GST hike on small, medium hotels

The Travel and Tourism Association of Goa (TTAG) demanded a rollback on hike in GST rate for small and medium hotels, saying it will make them uncompetitive and lead to increase in compliance costs. After the implementation of the new GST rates, hotels with tariffs below ₹1,000 per night will now have to pay 12% GST which was 0% earlier.
