Gold bond investors get over 380% returns on 2017-18 Series XIV on New Year's Day

RBI has announced final redemption price of ₹13,486 per unit for Sovereign Gold Bond (SGB) 2017-18 Series-XIV, due on January 1 or New Year's Day. It was determined by the simple average of closing price of 999 purity gold for past three business days. Investors will receive an effective return of over 380%, considering 2.5% annual interest rate, Moneycontrol reported.
