Gold prices crossed the psychological milestone of ₹1.6 lakh per 10 grams, closing ₹3,540 higher at ₹1,60,620 per 10 grams, according to IBJA data. Notably, gold prices have risen by ₹6,752 in just the last 48 hours. The price of silver also crossed the ₹2.46 lakh per kilogram mark, ending at ₹2,46,630 per kilogram on Friday after rising by ₹8,864.
