Gold ETFs record $61 million outflow, 1st monthly negative in a year

Gold ETFs recorded a net outflow of $61 million in May 2026, becoming the first monthly outflow data since May 2025, the World Gold Council data showed. Despite reaching a one-year outflow high, Gold ETFs saw $3.48 billion inflow so far this year. Following the announcement, domestic gold prices surged to ₹1,64,497/10 grams, the highest in over two months.
