Gold prices in India hit record high to cross ₹57,000 mark

Gold prices in India hit a fresh all-time high on Tuesday following surge in overseas market and depreciation in the rupee currency. On Multi Commodity Exchange (MCX), gold futures rose to ₹57,099 per 10 grams, while silver futures jumped to around ₹68,340 per kg. The surge in gold prices affected demand in India, Reuters reported, citing dealers.
