Gold rises to ₹1.49 lakh in Delhi, silver drops ₹5,000

Gold prices in Delhi rose ₹500 to ₹1,49,800 per 10 grams on Thursday, tracking international gains and a weaker rupee, which fell to 96.31 against the US dollar. Silver fell ₹5,000 to ₹2.27 lakh per kg. Over the week, gold declined ₹2,800 and silver ₹10,000. Bullion markets will remain closed Friday for Gandhi Jayanti.
