Golden jackal rescued unhurt after falling into 15-ft well in Pune

A female golden jackal, estimated to be 3-4 years old, was rescued uninjured after falling into a 15-foot-deep open well in Pune's Khadkumbe village. The distressed jackal was first spotted by local villagers, who promptly alerted the forest department authorities. The forest department rescued the jackal in a 1.5-hour-long operation after which she was released back into her natural habitat.
