Goldman Sachs CEO's 2023 pay rose to ₹257cr despite 24% profit dip

The annual compensation of Goldman Sachs CEO David Solomon in 2023 rose 24% YoY to $31 million (over ₹257 crore) despite the firm witnessing a 24% YoY fall in its profits. Solomon's pay included $2 million base salary and $20.3 million in performance-linked stock. "[We] believe that actions of senior management were critical to reorienting the firm," Goldman Sachs said.
