Goldman Sachs ex-VP's IITian friend star witness in insider trading case against him

Former Goldman Sachs VP Brijesh Goel's friend Akshay Niranjan is the US government's star witness in an insider trading case against him. Insider tips received from Goel helped them earn over $290,000, former Barclays trader Niranjan testified. IIT alums Goel and Niranjan met as business students in US and continued to stay in touch after they joined Wall Street companies.
