Golfer Lee Elder, the 1st Black player to compete in Masters dies aged 87

The PGA Tour said on Monday that Lee Elder, the first Black man to compete in the Masters in 1975, passed away at the age of 87. He was also the first Black man to represent the US Ryder Cup team in 1979. He won four events on the PGA Tour, and recorded eight wins on the PGA Tour Championships.
