GoM favours removing 18% GST on life, health insurance: Report

The Group of Ministers (GoM) formed to discuss GST on life and health insurance premiums met on Saturday. Most members favoured full exemption on both premiums, while a few suggested cutting the rate from 18% to 5%, NDTV Profit reported. An option to exempt only premiums paid by senior citizens from GST was also discussed.
