Google, Microsoft each consume more power than 100 countries

Google and Microsoft each consumed 24 TWh of electricity during 2023, surpassing the power consumption of more than 100 countries, TechRadar reported citing a new research. Iceland, Ghana, the Dominican Republic and Tunisia each consumed 19 TWh, while Jordan consumed 20 TWh power in 2023, the report said. Google and Microsoft consumed the same amount of energy as Azerbaijan.
