Google AI Overviews gives millions of wrong answers every hour: Study

Google's Gemini-powered AI Overviews answers correctly about 90% of the time, meaning nearly 1 in 10 responses could be wrong, revealed a study by NYT. With Google processing over 5 trillion searches per year, this means that it provides tens of millions of incorrect answers every hour. More than half of the accurate responses were "ungrounded", the study claimed.
