Google announces a new AI research centre in India

Google, at its 'Google for India' event on Thursday, announced that it's opening an AI research centre in Bengaluru. The centre, called Google Research India, will focus on advancing fundamental computer science research to develop tools that can be used by government and private entities. "We will continue to invest in AI-powered flood forecasts," Google VP of Engineering added.
