Google apologises for search result showing Kannada as 'ugliest language in India'

After internet users and politicians voiced their displeasure with Google for showing Kannada as the result for the search phrase "ugliest language in India", Google India issued an apology for "the misunderstanding and hurting any sentiments" and stated that "search isn't always perfect". Google India also put out the same apology in Kannada. The search result has also been removed.
