Google, Bing may have to start paying news publishers in EU

Search engines like Google and Microsoft's Bing may have to start paying for showing news on their platform, under the rules endorsed by the European Union. It would allow news publishers to ask for payment for up to one year after publication. Further, it would force websites like YouTube to seek a license from rightsholders for displaying their content.
