Google can't force Android on mobile makers: Mexico antitrust body

Mexico's antitrust commission announced it resolved a case over a lack of competition in the mobile operating system market linked to Android-related practices. As part of the ruling, the body said Google will remove certain contractual restrictions imposed on mobile device makers. Manufacturers will now be free to produce and sell devices using operating systems other than Android, it added.
